Round 8 - 2018 Wrap
Frosty the first to crack 1500 for the year. With two other teams scoring the highest they have for the year and then there's KingMoistPant with his 3rd sub 1000 for the year courtesy of a big tasty donut.
WINTER IS HERE
Frostbites (1511) DEF KingMoistPant (946)
It was a cold cold Friday with so much moist, and it didn't get any better for the Pant as the weekend went on. Talia (24), Haynes (51) Pendles (0) and Jellyknees Omeara (45) were only half of the list of players that were no good in Simons team. The faster way would have been to say Liz Ellis Yolmen (100) Ward (110) and Silky (113) were the only ones to tonne up...Simons hosptital is working overtime with the King trying to patch up all of Sloane, Pendles, Hanners, Lynch and Parfait. mmmm Parfait....The Knight King on the other hand was all the right kind of cool this weekend. Top score for the year. Only 1 player under 80. Witts with 65 up against a hugely in form Maxy (more on that later). 8 players above 110. A 4 player fwd line with over 450 is stupid....464!! He also left points on the bench McEvoy (99) and Blakely (114). Shotgun not playing a final against Frosty.
The Night King has his day

HELL HAS FROZEN OVER
Wines For Swallow? (1456) DEF WaterOffADec'sBack (1274)
Steve has cracked the 1400 for the first time in his 2 year coaching career! (previous best of 1315). He even left contested record breaker Cuntington (143) on the bench! (btw. Mr. See you next tuesday'ington had 38 touches. with 32 of them contested, supercoach gold) Steve obviously knew that cunner was also going to have 12 clangers. Darling Jack (125) Langdon (138) who? Nank (111) Cotch (155) Wee-Cup Oliver (143) Brownlow Fyfe (126) Webster (132) and Stewart (123) all massive. For Quacklan it was Tmac (135) Crispy Jack (119) and Caddy Jack (josh) (113) the only digit'ers. Dollhouse (61) in the doghouse, Hibbo playng like a Hippo (78) and Sideshow Bob needs a haircut (62). Visiting hours for The Quackington Ward almost over for Murphy Viney Franklin and Nic Nat back from copping a paddy-whack. Interestingly if Duck didnt drop Nank for Steve to pick up a few weeks ago he still would have lost...

SLOPPYS SECONDS THE SECOND
Moistchamp2018 (1285) DEF Moistly Fine (1220)
There was a lot of talk this weekend of "good game", "bad luck", "well deserved", but really.... when Kate has 3 players score under 50 and still wins. Im not sure you can really say that. Especially when Mike has a player score 150, Big Sandi-monster. I think he's just making excuses for his rolled gold stars like Beams (63), Kennedy (73), Rich (56), Kelly (0), Shuey (0) who like playing well till about half time (when they play at all). If Dunstan (99) is your top scoring mid, Jonas (104) top defender and top fwd, McLean (115) yeah well he's actually pretty good but you see where I'm going. Kates top picks got the job done, This young Danger fella (137) looking like he's poised for a break out season, The good Martin (112) and Parrrrrrrrrker (124) doing a solid impression of a top pick. Geary would be having a teary over his 45. Harbrows will be having a good hard look at himself (49) and so will Petracca (49) who was on 20 points with 13 mins to play but thats coz Trac really likes the look of himself.
3rd Last
A TAD DUSTY
Sloppy's Seconds (1131) DEF More Than A Tip (1102)
It wasnt till the last game of the round that Mac attacked with the Brundy (137) and his sidekick-bottom (100) vs Double-bounce-Dans Phillips who decided he'd run into Maynes knee which would have shocked him as much as it did me to see that Mayne still plays in the AFL....But yes, That dragged Lauras team over the line. Not the first time Dan's been beaten by a Laura this year. I think he actually enjoys it. Sloppys had a quiet Martin, maybe a little bit Dusty recently, a few big saturday nights me thinks. Hodgey (40) being old. Swallow (53) just generally sucking...Dixon (59), Fisher (75), Robbo (76) and Rough (89) didnt hold up the fwd line very well but Cripps (111) and No Ned Simpson (103) getting the Blues and the Seconds over the line. For Dan, Savage (75), Gibbs (71), Wood (41)(after dominating one week Dan jumped on), and Da-Boar who is DED (28), Laird with another 25+ touches but only (89). Mundies (107) and BBQs Treloar (104) the only triplets.
YAY DAN WINS!!!!
OR DID HE??
THE TOP DOGS
Lever Wanting More (1473) DEF MoistWeatherBunns (1189)
A battle of 1 and 2 on the ladder ended up being a little bit more than a battle of who had the better Bulldog. JayneY must have had a tiff with lover boy Wines (98) who was banished to the bench. (obviously missed their sponge bath date) as was Shiels (99) while she interestingly left on the field Steven (88) and Mitchell (74) (not sure why you'd do that?) As always JayneYs puppies looked great....Hunter (102), Bont (132) and Suckling (102)..... Lambert-souvlaki (113) also delicious. For the League leaders it was Sneaky Harmes (139), Not so sneaky Max (148), Lloyd (130) and Jack Macrae (156) giving the 2nd largest score of the week/year as early as Saturday night. That sunday rest will be handy as will Curnow's (118) week off for pushing an umpire in the chest! seriously wtf! Parish playing like a scarred alterboy (48). Zerrett (79) also a tad frustrating. JayneY not happy with her Essendon't either Hurley (66). Billings (54) on the bench...I thought he was good?
